slow internet

Hi, I have a Nokia Lumia 510 that I got on a pay-as-you-go plan with t-mobile. I brought it over using the straight talk BYOP plan. I followed the instructions to a T, all the apn settings are right, etc. But, I am stuck with 2g. I can't get 3g whatsoever. And yes I am in a 3g accessible area; I've had 2 phones with straight talk prior to this, and they were great. Oh, and they got 3g.

so if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. And maybe post the solution so everyone can see it, instead of pm'ing me. I didn't want to post at all (much less make an account, it took forever with my 2g), but all the solutions on here are apparently privileged information.

Is there any other way you can help me? My phone is my only internet source, and its too slow for live chat.

Ok, so now I realize what this is. You people are sending spam posts for any issue with links to your customer support chat line. Maybe you should try actually reading the posts and posting helpful replies. I CANNOT use live chat, maybe try actually reading my post.

customer service should be about quality not quantity. I need help and you aren't helping me. And after reading these forums more, I see I'm not the only one.

Hi cullimjl. My name is Straight Talk Felice. Issues will be taken offline if it's necessary for us to gather some account information to resolve the issue. We do not encourage customers to post their personal and account information in public, for security reasons. We post answers for general inquiries and questions that do not require us to check and investigate on the customer's account. Thank you.
