weak signal with upgraded phone

I've been a Streight talk user for over two years. In the past my phone signal has been great at home using an LG290c and also Samsung SGH-T401G, but since switching to the Samsung Android my signal sucks updating my profile and PRL doesnt seem to do anything. Is it the phone? and if so will Steight Talk repair or replace it?

I too just upgraded to the samsung Galaxy android phone, for my wife and at home she have a good signal but drive 5 miles to work and she has no signal at all. is there anything that can be done to fix this? I know when we was with att we had a *code we could use to switch towers, does straight talk offer anything like this?
