porting from sprint

porting from sprint

Postby kalex1114 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:47 pm

I recently got 2 sim cards to test straight talk service in NYC. Everything seems fine and I'm ready to port my numbers from sprint. I just called straight talk customer service and got a strange reply from the rep. Supposedly they had to remove my current straight talk assigned number, disconnect it and send me new sim card in order for me to port my sprint number in. And I had to buy another sim card and another month of service card. Is this correct procedure or is there an easier way of doing it?

All i want to do is bring one sprint number to one sim card and then bring my second number from sprint to second sim card. Any advise on how to proceed?

I decided to try it with one number first. My current straight talk number got deactivated and customer service rep processed new sim card for me. it will arrive in 3-5 days. My current airtime expires on 4/19/2012. Since it got deactivated now does that mean that I lost 8 days of service or can it be added back once i get my new sim card?

There should be easier procedure for this?

thanks
