How long did your port take?

How long did your port take?

Postby oasisfan » Tue Mar 27, 2012 4:56 pm

Hey users, just wondering how long your port (personally) took?

I know the drill - anywhere from a few hours to a few days, but I'm curious how long YOURS took?

Has anyone ported from simple mobile? It's not currently in the list of companies you can port from (I had to select "other").

When I ported from Virgin mobile (it was Helio) to T-Mobile it was only a few hours. How long was your port process?

Hi oasisfan. My name is Straight Talk Debbie and I will be addressing your question. The port in process will take up to 2 business days. I believe this answers your question. It’s been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.

Thanks Debbie. I was just wondering what the range was from individual users. My port finished in less than 1 day.

While it can take "up to 2 days" my port took approximately an hour. It was from AT&T to an "AT&T Compatible" SIM card with the same phone. As soon as I saw "No Service" I knew the port was complete.

Should my old phone still work if it shows up inactive?

Straight Talk to Straight Talk - it's been 8+ hours and the status is still "Port in Progress". My other phone does not work, so I have no idea when the port will complete. Tried to call customer service and she read exactly what it said on the screen, "Several minutes to several hours and in some cases up to 24 hours." SOME CASES??? Which ones would those be? This is ridiculous. :x
