Porting UScellular prepaid

Porting UScellular prepaid

Postby jasonc2006 » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:57 pm

I have a phone and sim and am thinking about coming back to straight talk. Can I port in my US Cellular account? It is a prepaid account with them. I have an account number and pin though. Thanks in advance

I am not ready to re-open the account I just want to know if my UScellular prepaid account can be ported into Straighttalk. I have a straight talk phone but it is inactive right now. I want to make sure I can port in the prepaid UScellular number before I switch over

Hi jasonc2006. My name is StraightTalk Marianne. Yes, you can transfer your number from your US Cellular account as long as the number is active. The process would take up to 72 hours. Since your existing Straight Talk handset was previously used, there's a possibility that we will need to send you a replacement SIM card if it is a GSM phone. The process would take 3-5 days or there's a possibility it would take up to 7 business days. But if your Straight Talk handset is a CDMA phone, without a SIM card, then there's no need for shipping a new SIM card.
