I recently cancelled my service with Straight Talk and gave my old phone to my mother. My old phone is the Samsung R355C. My service doesn't end on that phone until March 14th.
She's trying to port her number from her old LG 220C to the Samsung. When she goes to do it through the website it says:
"NEW PHONE:
We are sorry, the Serial Number you entered is associated with another account or is already active. Please try again with a different serial number or log into "My Account.""
Is she getting this message because my service is still "active?" And is there another way she could go about porting her number from the LG to the Samsung. Would calling customer service be a better chance of getting her number ported?
