Confirmation of a port request

Confirmation of a port request

I initiated a port from Virgin Mobile yesterday. The port is not complete yet and reading online about others' problem has me thinking that I do not have any confirmation of the request. How would I identify myself and the right case w/o it? I have a feeling that there will be problems with the port.
