Reason I dont want the main line ported first is because, if that happens then the other two numbers are lost prior to porting. Can anyone help me how this can be accomplished ?
Also, my billing cycle on Sprint ends tomorrow, is there any possibility to escalate the porting process, I submitted my porting request yesterday and was told it can take anything from 3 hrs to 2 business days and I want to make sure that the porting happens prior to my sprint bill cut off time. Please help me.
Sudhir,
I don't work for Sprint nor StraightTalk, however I was in the same boat as you are and researched everything (had 3 family lines also)...
To answer a few of your questions:
If you port your "primary" number from Sprint before porting the additional lines, your account stays active regardless and the two additional lines on a family plan. I confirmed this with Sprint prior to porting my numbers.
As for "expediting" the port process, good luck with that. See my thread/complaint thread:
http://www.straighttalkwirelessforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6808&t=51718I ported my first 2 lines to straighttalk with no problem on new activations (no number assigned)... The above thread is giving me issues because I started straighttalk service with a new number for them and after two months have now decided to port the last line over however, I am now having issues. If you haven't activated any lines with StraightTalk, I suggest you use the
www.straighttalk.com/activate link and follow those steps for "Bringing my phone number from another carrier to straight talk"... This method is the method I used for the first two lines and within 1 hr, the numbers were ported WITHOUT issue.
hope this helps...
