I just purchased a straight talk phone at walmart but when I try to activate it it tells me my serial number is invalid or not found in the system. What do I do?

Im having the exact same problem as many many people. I bought a new Straight talk Mobile Hotspot from EBay, but when I try to activate it I get the invalid serial number message. Talked to Straight talk for an hour, they say improperly scanned but Wal Mart says this is incorrect....I also bought a $40 card which is not refundable....HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

Same problem except this is a phone I bought and used with service plan before. I have 2 j3 orbit phones. One (phone A) was mine that I used for a short time. The other (phone B) is the newer phone I've purchase and used for months. I was assigned a new number to phone B that has a 305 area code for some reason, but didnt care at the time. My ex bf used phone A and had his straight talk number and service added to it after I started using phone B. I've gotten phone A back from him, bit it no longer had the SIM in it. I purchased the SIM kit from walmart and also purchased the $90 plan online so that I could use the original phone number I had on phone A while keeping the phone number to phone B because I have acquired the need for 2 phone numbers. I put the tmobile sim in phone A from the activation kit and tried to transfer the data plans second line to phone A. It never came through and I noticed that the SIM card was registering invalid. So did the AT&T Sim. The Verizon sim worked perfectly fine so when I called customer service today the agent told me that the phone was not registered in their network and that he would not transfer the service from the tmobile sim to the Verizon sim in the phone with that IMEI number because he feared damaging the phone irreparably. I've tried to do it online. It says that the serial number for the phone is invalid. Someone please help me through this confusing mess

I am habving the same issue with a new iPHONE XR I just purchased at walmart. Numerous trips back to the store have all resulted in them basically stating that the phone was scanned correctly and the issue is on straighttalks end... VERY FRustrating!

Spent 300+ on a new phone with these jokers. No one can help. They say Walmart didn’t activate it, Walmart says they did. I’ve always wanted to pay 300 bucks for a paperweight. Sent info to the email they provided with receipt, name, etc. Nobody called me back. Awesome @straighttalk
