Using data while on a call Verizon sim

I have an UNLOCKED Verizon's IPhone 6s iOS10.2.1, I had an Unlocked LG before this and had VOLTE (being able to use data while on a voice call) and it worked flawlessly, and now I can't access the internet while on a call is in progress, I never had the option to activate VOLTE/HDCALLING before, I recently received a "carrier update" to 27.1 and the option finally appeared in my IPhone, when I click on the option to activate VOICE AND DATA, it gives me an error and says I need to visit the said website, I visit, it says to call said number to have HD CALLING added to my account, I call and the reps try to tell me the service is not supported, or to call apple THEN WHY WAS I FINALLY GIVEN AN OPTION TO ACTIVATE IT AND TOLD TO GO HERE AND CALL HERE TO HAVE IT ADDED JUST TO BE TOLD ITS NOT SUPPORTED!? IM ABOUT TO LEAVE STRAIGHTTALK AND GO BACK TO VERIZON PREPAID SO I CAN ACTIVATE OPTIONS I AM PROVIDED WITH! This is ridiculous!
