Sim Free iPhone 7 Plus from Apple.com

Hello,

Bought my SIM free iPhone 7 Plus from Apple. My number is with Verizon. I've been waiting patiently for it to port to Straight Talk, but I have gotten different answers from different customer service reps at ST.

One says I need the Verizon Sim card which is in my phone now. The other said I needed the AT&T. Everything but service works with the Verizon sim except phone and texting. With AT&T I didn't get anything.

Which one is right?

I started the port about 4 PM yesterday afternoon. I know it says it can take up to two days, but have read where it's taken minutes to transfer.

Is there a way to check on the status of this and if it is right or wrong?
