htc evo 3d (sprint) ##27286# asks for password

Postby jham2487 » Sun Dec 01, 2013 11:13 am

Im trying to transfer my EVO 3d to straight talk(byop), paid for the network access code and all that. Got as far as customer service saying I'm all good to call ##27286#, but right when I hit the last # it pops up a message asking for a 6 digit password. Didn't find much about it online. Any ideas?

So painful with Stright talk to activate HTC Evo 3D device from Sprint. I got zero help from Stright Talked. I googled and found below helpful posting to make it work. Thanks for Brad Coates.

NOTE:- You have to have Unlock code from Sprint in order to use steps in this solution.

Please dear god someone help me with this stupid phone.

I have been with straight talk for awhile and I wanted to switch over to the evo I have that was once with sprint. I wasn't aware of the need to flash phones until this (whoops). But they told me on the phone that they couldn't give me the msl code to finish programming until the phones done going through their system (on my account it says it's not complete yet and tells me to call the number that always stops me for the code). They told me they could get the code to finish activation when it's done going through the system but I feel like it might not go through until I've gotten it flashed by putting in the msl code.

They said they could get me the code when my other phone stopped working because that would indicate the new one was in the system. Which would make sense but it's been over 24 hours and my old phone is still working good as ever. I've seen countless forum posts about it and I haven't been able to get the msl code myself and I don't know what to do. Am I being impatient? Should I dive deep into the internet to find a way to get it myself? Should I become an obnoxious customer and call customer service forever? Is there a way to get the msl code from sprint or something where would I even start please help me it would be the bestest thing ever if anyone could tell me a clear helpful answer seriously.

Okay I'm having the same damn problem.

I already has a LG phone in straight talk and I wanted to switch the service and number to the htc evo. I hadn't flashed it before I started the BYOP process and now I'm at the point where I'm waiting for my old phone to stop working to indicate the new phones through the system and then start the activation process where I dial the programming number and then get the nonavoidable PASSWORD box. They told me once the phone is completely through their system that they could get the code for me but it's been over 24 hours and nothings happened- my old phone is still working well as ever. Am I being too impatient or do I need to try to find the msl code myself so that it can get in the system? Because I seriously have the bad feeling that I need to get the code before I can move forward in the process.

Please help I really don't know what to do and nothings been clear so far.
