Thought I would provide a comparison, for those of you tired of the throttled speeds. First day with T-Mobile's Unlimited 4G/Text/Minutes for $70, no cap or throttling and what a difference. Getting speeds of 4.4Mbps down and 1.07Mbps up. With Straight talks throttling in the same place, I was getting speeds of .59Mbps down and 1.04 Mbps up and that's one of my faster results, slowest was .01/.11Mps. Over 7 times faster then Straight Talks fastest download speed!RACJ2 wrote:Let me guess. I'm sure you have been using too much data and they shut you off. Now they will turn you back on, with throttled speeds.Inspired wrote:I'm having the same problem. I've just been using my Inspire 4G a few days. The Internet connection was fine until yesterday. Now all pages show Access Forbidden. I'd like the answer too.
I'm going to pay a bit more to move to move my unlocked Galaxy Nexus over to T-Mobile in Feb. I've got the sim card on the way and will start with their Unlimited 4G/Text/Minutes for $70 to see how I like it. If all goes well, switch both my wife's phone and mine to T-Mobile Unlimited 4G data/text/1000 minute family plan, which is 2 phones for $99. Both packages claim no throttling. That requires a 2 year commitment. They have other packages that are cheaper, but they throttle you after either 100 Mb or 2Gb of data.
