Cannot renew due to Pending OTA Transaction - HELP!

My phone renewal is tonight (2/5/2018) and the service won’t let me renew because it is saying OTA transaction pending. What is that? I have NO idea and nothing in any search provides a definition! I’ve been attempting to renew since yesterday! When I call customer service, the robot hangs up on me when I provide my number and there is no way it will connect me with tech support - after MULTIPLE attempts! I've been a faithful customer for 6 years amid sales calls from Sprint and T-Mobile. I'm a senior and a disabled Veteran on severely limited income and this is my only lifeline! HELP! MAYDAY! :(
