Does Service Plan also transfer when I transfer phone number

I am buying my neighbor's StraightTalk LG290C phone, which will be an upgrade for me from the LG200 StraightTalk phone I currently use. Will my current Service Plan also transfer to the new phone when I transfer my current phone number to the StraightTalk phone I am buying from him? Or do I need to purchase a new service plan for the newly acquired phone after I change phone numbers?

We can transfer your phone number and service plan to another StraightTalk phone as long as the phone is active in the system. You don't need to purchase a new service card to transfer the number.
