Saved Credit Card

I have saved my debit card on my account for refilling our accounts (we have two phones). One account is set up on auto-payment and there are no issues with that refill. The other account is pay as you go so EVERY SINGLE MONTH I buy a monthly plan, it rejects my saved credit card, I re-enter the account number and it charges it like normal. What is the point of saving the card on file if I still have to re-enter it every time? What can I do????
