Straight Talk Wireless Forums

I have an unlocked LG G6 phone that I am using with Straight Talk.
Is there a better way to get voicemail notifications? I currently get a text message of computer jargon that means nothing to me. I suspect this has to do with visual voicemail?
Please advise.
