about phone upgrade

I was on my account and I click on the phone upgrade button. I didn't mean to but when I did it says No Phones in Your Account We are unable to transfer a number because there are no phones in your account. But it does show my phone. I just Activated my service. So do you have to wait like 24 hrs after you have act...ivated your service. I dont want upgrade but just wanted to know why it says that.
