So I recently swapped from an iPhone X to an iPhone 11 on straight talk and I am no longer receiving verification code from my various apps when I login. These are otherwise known as short code messages.
To give a little background I have been with straight talk now for a year and was using an AT&T Sim as I ported over from AT&T. I found however the AT&T towers on straight talk to have terrible service in my area. So I bought an unlocked iPhone 11 and purchased a Verizon Sim card so that I could be on Verizon towers on straight talk in my area.
Phone has been working perfectly other than the fact that I am no longer able to receive short code messages from apps like my bank trying to verify that it’s me logging into the app on a new phone. I have tried deleting the apps and reinstalling them, I have also tried restarting the phone, as well as contacting both straight talk and Apple. Everything I have researched points to it being a carrier issue however straight talk customer service has no clue what I’m talking about or how to fix it.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas to fix this issue?
