Faulty SIM card

Faulty SIM card

Postby kananumpua » Wed Aug 12, 2020 7:06 pm

Have been wanting to switch to Straight Talk for over a year now but had to wait until I paid off my phone with Verizon. The phone is an Sumsung S9 that is unlocked (have used other SIM cards in other countries). After 1.5 days if texting and calling with a variety of ST customer service representatives, who were all very nice but most have limited technical troubleshooting skills, we finally conclude that I paid $45 for a faulty Straight Talk SIM card from Walmart. They're going to send me a new SIM card but I'll now be without a phone for 3-5 business days. Tried to return to Walmart but they won't accept since it's been opened. Feel like I did all my homework and I'm still going to get screwed, either out $45 or 3-5 business days, without a phone. Definately a 1st world problem but pretty annoying. At this point I don't know if I'd recommend Straight Talk. TBD.
