over the air programming

I need major help. I accidentally bought a $30 service card with 1500 minutes. I used it on an older phone as to not waste it and it worked but now everytime i tried to dail *22890 it says it cant program the phone at this time. how do i fix this i font wanna have just wasted the $30.
