Data Cap?

Even if they don't post clear numbers on the limits, the user should at least get a text saying 'you exceeded your daily allowance, internet will resume tomorrow' or 'warning, you are using significantly more data than other users in your area, continued use may terminate data service for today'. What they cannot do (and maybe they don't?) is quietly making your data stop working.

I bought this for my GF, she works 55 hours a week and likes to listen to music on the way to work. Her drive is 4 mins about 20 mins each way and maybe an hour at night. I have a statement from a legal representative of StraightTalk. He is the local Walmart electronics employee where he stated that it is unlimited and streaming music at that level is approved. This is what I will do, if my service is terminated, then I will file a small claims suit against the CEO and have the local employee testify. If he does NOT show up, I win all my money back (for the phone, service, ect), court cost and other provisions. I am NOT a lawyer and always call CS first. But if that does not help, then I take my legal right into small claims. It always seems to get me what I deserve. If others are not happy with their results, I would recommend you call your county court house and find out your rights in small claims. It is my opinion that companies do not care about their customers, only the bottom line. See you on the battlefield.

I, too, have had a problem. As of last night my data was completely shut off without warning. I don't use tethering or anything like that. After 2.5 hours with customer service the final answer wad that they don't know what i did wrong, but i probably did something wrong and i should review the TOS. BTW, everybody should know that when customer service tells you they must transfer you to the appropriate department to help with the data problem it is just a repeating messagethat indicates that if you don't agree with their TOS they are happy to transfer your number to another provider. One representative admitted that nobody works in that "department". It is very frustrating to be treated as a miscreant by default and not be told what i have done to cause my service to be stopped.
I have reviewed my texts and emails and confirmed that i was never notified of a problem by straight talk. Very discouraging...if they could tell me what i did wrong i would correct the problem. I am a rule follower...

The rep today did tell me that there is a 1.5gb cap on the unlimited service and that ST is changing the wording on the cards soon to remove the "unlimited" wording.
