Changing Phones on Straight Talk

Postby gbaileyc17 » Fri Dec 24, 2010 4:45 pm

I purchased the Nokia E71 but I can not get service at my workplace. Straight Talk informed me that the E71 piggybacks on AT&T. I left AT&T to get away from the poor service. My coworkers have other model Straight Talk phones and get excellent service. Can you please tell me what phones Straight Talk offers, that preferably uses Verizon or T Mobile? I would like a phone with similiar features of the E71, especially Navigation. Also, if I trade in the phone, what is the procedure to activate the newer phone and maintain my cell number since i also recently transfered it from AT&T to Straight Talk?

Hi gbaileyc17. My name is Straight Talk Stephanie and I will be addressing your question. Straight Talk phones use AT&T or T-Mobile if your phone model ends with G (GSM), Verizon if it ends with C (CDMA). Please check this link for available phones; http://tinyurl.com/24f79gr. As long as the phone number is still active on your Nokia E71 phone, we can transfer that to your new phone. The process could possibly take up to 72 hours. You can call the customer service number at 1-877-430-2355 for assistance or visit the website atwww.straighttalkwireless.com. Our customer service support is open 8am-11:45pm EST from Mondays-Sundays. I believe this answers your question. It's been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.
