WOW! All these support forums and no support to be found. I was all set to transfer my service to Straight Talk until I found it would days or even weeeks totransfer my number over. That is unacceptable. When I switched from ATT to Verizon the switch was immediate. Another big turn off was the large number of negative reviews on the phone I was going to buy and the extremely poor customer service. Until Straight Talk gets good quality phones and customer service I will stick with Verizon. The superior phones and service are well worth the small amount I would save (about $15/mo). Don

Hi Don. My name is Straight Talk Joh and I will be addressing your concerns. Transfer process from other service provider to Straight Talk may take 7 to 10 business days or it may be lessen if your current service provider releases the phone number immediately. Thanks!

Hi John,
I was with Verizon and switched to Straight Talk. The switch only took a few minutes (even though it said it could take hours or days) and I kept my phone # from Verizon. I got the Nokia 6790 and I actually like the phone. Hope this helps!

Hi rlmurra2,
Glad to hear that it took few minutes only. It actually depends on the old service provider on how long it will take for them to release the phone number. The turn-around time we provide is exactly the approximate time only so that customer will be provide with information and will not expect too much from getting the number activated. Hope this helps.
Thanks!
